Nick at Nite had been my favorite television show during my childhood because there used to be comedy shows/cartoon videos filled with humor and many other live shows. Live-action had been something new to understand for me during my childhood (Berns, 2016). I had initially been curious to watch cartoons only. However, I had got the taste of live-action by getting to know about a lot of new things which had been happening in my locality and my country. I think that television shows must be informative as well as filled with elements of entertainment like humor so that there can be general knowledge gained. The motivation theory applies to my way of getting entertained because learning and cognition used to take place when I used to watch the television show (Berns, 2016).
